Patterns & Kits Information!

Welcome to Blue Moon Fabric Arts!

My name is Martha Brown. I received a degree in Art from East Tenn. State University in 1977, had a 12 year career as a dental lab technician, then had my own business as a picture framer before I became a fibre artist.

This journey started when a neighbor loaned me a quilting book in 1994. It wasn't long before I preferred sitting at my sewing machine and creating rather than framing other artists' works.

I started piecing and quilting traditional designs often inspired by the fabrics I found. For the first few years I quilted everything by hand. Many friends and family members received my quilts as gifts. Seven years later, I had taken several classes and was making quilts for sale. I also learned a few liberating techniques that would allow several of my original designs to become wall quilts, and award winners.

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).

I create original designs,  fabric paintings, art dolls and anything that is a creative challenge for me.

The galleries, navigated by the buttons above, also show works that have sold to provide ideas for commission orders.
