Sashed Multi Sunprint

This piece was inspired by several small sunprints I had done earlier in the year. More were painted to “fill in the gaps” to allow for an attractive layout and complete the Artquilt.  Each print is truly unique, as actual leaves are used and discarded after the print is made.

Free-motion machine quilted. Each leaf is outlined with stitching, veins are quilted within the leaves, with further intensive quilting on each background, using variegated rayon and cotton threads.
