Feather Shadows

Canadian Geese often congregate in the park behind our house. They leave behind all kinds of feathers that I've collected.  This sunprint was an experiment with black paint effects. This has been heavily free-motion machine quilted with black and smoke-tint invisible thread. Black shadows were hand painted for contrast. A feathered fabric inner border seemed perfect for this one.
