Dog Daze Pattern

Finished size: approximately 44" x 55"

Skill level: beginner
Finished Block size: Approximately 11" x 11"
12 Blocks, 4 Blocks each of Beaux, Tasha and Chloe

I'd like to introduce you to three dogs: The first one is Beaux. He is a long-nosed, short-eared dog fashioned after a German Shepard, but can be used for any similar dog. The second dog is Tasha; medium nose length, larger ears, similar to a Labrador Retriever. The third dog is Chloe. She has large ears and a smaller face, representing a Poodle.
A few pattern pieces are cut using templates.
Instructions and fabric requirements are provided for all three block patterns to be incorporated into one wall quilt as shown on the pattern cover with sashing, borders and binding. There are no set-in or mitered seams, making this an easy pattern to assemble.
You can pick your own colours to match a particular dog, or use the color recommendations provided on the back of the pattern.

Price: $14.00 (CDN) plus tax and shipping

Canadian Maple Leaf Pattern

Skill Level: beginner

Block size: 7.5 " h x 9" w

Have you ever searched for a maple leaf that looks like the one on the Canadian Flag? I did, with no luck, so I designed my own pattern. There are 25 pattern pieces to each block with no set-in seams or templates.  The maple leaf blocks are intended to go in only one direction. This is not a paper-pieced pattern. Cutting scraps are utilized in the accent corner borders.

Instructions are included for the inverted block version without stems, making "Fancy Shirts!"
It's like getting two patterns for the price of one!
The pic below shows four blocks with coat hangers hand embroidered into the necks of the shirts.

Price: $15.00 CDN plus tax and shipping

Muskoka Night
40" x 40"

This pattern uses three block designs to create a  table centrepiece. This pattern includes instructions on bias strip binding to negotiate the curved corners of the borders. Three techniques are explained: The tree is done with raw-edge appliqué, satin stitch is used on the Moon, and freezer paper foundation and fusible web techniques are used on several other pattern pieces.

Muskoka Tree Skirt Pattern

The Muskoka Tabletopper Pattern was a perfect pattern to use as a tree skirt, so last Christmas I got out my favourite Christmas fabrics and used the pattern to make this.
This version of the pattern includes instructions on how to make the tree skirt in addition to the table-topper, with a wider border and tips on bias bindings.

"Parrot Perch"
27" x 57"

Bright colours in this version of the pattern enhance the personalities of each of the parrots perched on a palm tree. This is an excellent wall quilt for a narrow wall space in your home!  The techniques and instructions include satin-stitch appliqué and using fusible web to secure each piece in place. A full size pattern is included for tracing the design onto a background. Buttons are used for eyes, and the birds make excellent use of those small fabric scraps in your stash! Instructions include how to to make a binding out of several different fabrics.
This pattern is also great for couching feathery
yarns onto the bird bodies.

The night-time version is featured below using Anna's hand-dyed pastels instead of brights, and less birds.
The other day-light version is a somewhat mirror image with a divided background and a leaf design added at the bottom and a pieced border (not included in pattern instructions).
