Vesna

Vesna is the Ukrainian word for Spring. She is the fairy of new beginnings. 
Vesna was inspired by the multi-coloured swirled body fabric, and one of my first designs with sharply bent legs. 

Sheers and satins have been sewn on for skirt layers with a fine pink knit ruched for sleeves. Her wings are lace-covered blue satin, free-motion machine quilted. Hand sewn pearls trim the top line of the bodice. Final touches include nail polish, silk ribbons and beaded strands thru her silk roving hair.
Vesna is 11” high, 9” wide and 9” deep.

Special features: Face overlay to hide seams and sculpting stitches, wired wings, wrists and fingers for slight alterations in her pose. Arms are movable and she has a contoured body.
