Emily was created while on a quilting retreat at Elim Lodge, north of Peterborough with the Durham Trillium Guild this spring. She is the first in the fairy series. Her arms and legs are movable, and her wrists and fingers are posable. Sheers and hand painted lace make up most of her garments, with Tyvek embellishments on the bodice. She holds a soft green silk rose from her garden. Multi-coloured wool yarns make up her hair, and her wings, also posable and bendable, are covered with free motion quilting designs. Body is made up of a lavender/green/blue blend high quality cotton batik. Poly-fil stuffing and a hand painted and  needle-sculpted face with fabric overlay.
