The Magic of Spring Spirit

My first Spring doll, Tiath-arivain celebrates the daffodils as the trumpets of spring. Her body has hand-painted cotton fabrics that I detailed with a lavender pencil in swirls. Yellow sheer skirt fabrics alternate with white lace layers, reminding us of the bright yellow and white blooms after a dreary winter. Bodice and sleeves are further embellished with sheer fabrics and pearl beads. Stretch fabric ribbons adorn her legs and her shoes are hand sewn pearls with clear sequins. Her arm bands are strands of tiny white pearls. Decorative yarns in layers of peach, pink and white make up her hair.

Tiath-arivain is 15.5 inches tall, 9” wide and 15” deep.

Materials: Sheers, cotton lace, acrylic yarns, poly-fil, pearl and glass beads, textile pencils and pens, and cotton batiks.
