Violet
Violet was another Xmas gift, 2006, to my mother-in-law. I help her plant over 100 annuals in her front garden every spring. It seemed very fitting to have a flower girl to keep her company all year round. Violet has all floral fabrics; cream florals are used for the arms and torso, a pink floral for her legs and bodice, and a multi-layered skirt of more floral fabrics are trimmed in beads. Green sandals are secured with green yarns. Underneath are "bloomers" made of lavender lace. She holds a purple silk flower.
