Seagulls

A sunprint created by painting, then scrunching the fabric before it was set out in the sun. Pinks, aquas, greens and purples were painted onto the fabric, with the folded sections hinting at the shapes of distant seagulls. Free motion machine quilting around the shapes in a wide variety of metallic threads.  Additional pearl and bead embellishments detail the bird silhouettes. Decorative yarns have been couched around the inner border.

 This piece can be hung in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
